1) What forms of payment does Becker’s Catering accept?

At this time we only accept payments in the form of cash, checks and credit cards by phone. We are in the process of accepting credit cards online as an option and convenience to our clients.

2) How far will Becker’s Catering travel to cater an event?

Becker’s Catering will provide services to the entire state of Connecticut and some areas of surrounding states. Depending on the distance there may be an added charge that will be addressed with the customer upon the agreement to provide services. We do however reserve the right to decline our services for an event based on if the venue or service itself.

3) Will you cater any type of venue?

We may decline any event where we feel that the venue itself would compromise the quality of the services we provide to our clients.

4) What does Becker’s Catering offer for full service catering?

Meal preparation/cooking, delivery, set up, staffing, clean up. Becker’s will provide as little or as much as you need.

5) Will you cook a meal if I provide the entree name or recipe?

We are happy to customize a menu to meet the needs of our clients and their guests. If you are interested in a specific item not on the menu please ask us.

6) How far in advance do I need to place my order?

Cold platters and trays that are ordered for pickup and delivery we ask for a minimum of 24 hr notice. Hot foods we ask for no less than 48 hours. If you are trying to book a service involving rentals, wait-staff or our bar service we ask that you contact us as far in advance as possible so we can reserve date and time on our calendar. This allows us the ability to order and staff appropriately so we can provide you with the level of service we pride ourselves on. We do however understand that circumstances do not always allow for advance notice and assure you will we do our best to accommodate these situations.

7) What is the minimum/maximum amount of people you serve?

A minimum or maximum guest count varies based on the services requested. Our staff is happy to help you determine which will best suit you. We can go over your ideas and make suggestions we feel will suit your needs best.

8) Do you offer china, linens, flatware etc?

Yes, we offer packages based on your needs. Whether its linen and china, or tents and a DJ, we work with reputable local vendors to provide our clients with everything they need to help plan their perfect day. We are also happy to help with suggesting venues, photographers and florists that we feel provide you with the same quality of service we offer our clients.

9) Do you offer bar service? Are you licensed to serve alcohol?

We are licensed and insured and have staff that are TIPS® certified. We can provide you with a portable bar, glassware and paper goods or help you keep it casual with disposable packages. Our packages are designed to work with every budget.

10) Do you offer coffee/tea service?

Yes, we offer two coffee/tea service options to add onto your catering order. Our standard package is great for offering coffee, decaf and tea along with all the extras your guests might need. Our premium package gives you and your guests an upgrade of locally roasted coffees as well as local teas. Both packages come standard with disposable cups and cocktail napkins but we are happy to provide glassware, silverware and linens for either.
